On the home page, important traffic information is displayed in the right column and can be updated. This requires JavaScript to be enabled in your browser.

Page Traffic Situation

You need to activate JavaScript in your browser for the representation of the traffic map.

The displayed map may be altered in the top left of the map by using the control tabs. A click on the ball icon resets the map to its original state. The card can also be moved by holding the left mouse button and operating the mouse wheel to zoom in or out. With a double click on the map window with the left mouse button on the clicked point, it is then centred, and enlarges the image to see a certain stage. When simultaneously pressing the Shift key while pressing the left mouse button, the selected area will be enlarged.

In the upper right corner of the map is the level selection. Here, the display can be controlled with the available levels of the information contained herein. By clicking on the minus sign, the selection window will be closed. Clicking on the text layer selection will open the window again.

All layers in the map data will be updated automatically.

The traffic map cannot be printed.

Page Traffic Cameras

You need to activate Java Script in your browser to use the options in the traffic camera table. The displays depicted from certain cameras on certain roads and areas are limited when using Windows. Multiple selections are possible while holding down the control key. By selecting, clicking the left mouse button, a camera in the select list or table from the thumbnail images, the image will be opened in a separate window. Both the table of thumbnails as well as the function for the opening and/or accessing of the camera images are updated automatically.

Data Sources

The site reports are taken from the site information system (BIS) Baden-Wuerttemberg. Our portal only displays the current images from the valid site from the database of the BIS. The BIS also allows you to gain further information about any planned construction sites, as well as additional choices for roads (classes) and districts / counties. You can also opt for the e-mail service log, where you will be informed of any building work on individual routes.

The traffic reports are created by the national registration office for Traffic Information Service from the police in Baden-Wuerttemberg and entered accordingly.

Traffic cameras record each and every minute as still images, which are then transmitted to the road traffic centre for BW. With sufficient brightness, the recordings from the traffic cameras can be in colour images, otherwise black and white. The data protection requirements are fulfilled by the resolution of the pictures and the update interval.

The information for traffic conditions is available from the Traffic Control Baden-Wuerttemberg and from an external provider.
